ANALISIS SWOT KONTRIBUSI PASAR HALAL MALAYSIA TERHADAP EKONOMI GLOBAL
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the contribution of the Malaysian halal market to the global economy and identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) that affect its competitiveness in the international market. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative method with a literature study approach and a comprehensive SWOT analysis to evaluate internal and external factors that affect the Malaysian halal market. The analysis used 5 journal content analysis, then coding was carried out on the contents of the reviewed journals using the halal market category. The data that has been collected is then sought for similarities and differences and then discussed to draw conclusions. In addition, this study also explores the role of SMEs and the strategy of harmonizing international halal standards. The results of the study indicate that Malaysia has strengths in internationally recognized halal certification and great opportunities for expansion in the non-food halal sector. However, dependence on the food sector and challenges in harmonizing global halal standards are weaknesses and threats that require product diversification strategies and strengthening the role of SMEs as a strategic priority to strengthen Malaysia's position in the global halal market.
